The documentary features life on board a Nile cruise ship as it plies the river from Luxor to Aswan.

There's Nabil, the keeper of the keys, who shows us around the ship and how passengers are entertained and looked after. Kamal, who's a guide, takes us to visit the exceptionally preserved Temple of Horus at Edfu, and there's Ibrahim, the captain who talks about his river, the Nile, the longest in the world.

 

Our film moves to the rhythm of the magnificent river itself, with the timeless green oases on its banks, ochre desert landscapes and the blue skies of Egypt overhead.
